CEO and co-founder Daniela Marino is featured in the summer 2026 edition of Interview by Ringier, the Swiss magazine dedicated to in-depth conversations with personalities from business, science, culture, politics and sport.
In the four-page interview, titled “Zweite Haut” (“Second Skin”), Daniela discusses the importance and complexity of human skin, the challenges faced by patients with severe burns, and how CUTISS is developing bio-engineered skin tissue to support both healing and quality of life.
She explains how denovoSkin™ is produced from a small biopsy of a patient’s own healthy skin and discusses its potential to reduce scarring and improve function compared with conventional skin grafting approaches. The conversation also explores CUTISS’ work to scale and automate production, as well as Daniela’s journey from scientist to biotech entrepreneur.
