Until now, medicine has treated burn victims with a skin transplant. These transplants have pitfalls. A former ETH researcher, Daniela Marino, wanted to counteract this and is currently working on a skin machine.

The newly founded
UZH Life Science Fund invests around one million francs in the
Spin-off Cutiss. The University
Zurich is thus breaking new ground.
The goal is to develop the skin substitutes of the young company quickly to make them ready for the market.
