NZZ explores advances in skin replacement for severe burn patients
Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) has featured CUTISS and denovoSkin™ in an in-depth report on the challenges of treating patients with severe burns and the development of laboratory-engineered skin. Published in NZZ’s Forschung und Technik section, the article examines the limitations of conventional split-thickness skin grafting and traces the evolution of cultured skin technologies over several decades. The report highlights CUTISS’ approach to bio-engineering personalized dermo-epidermal skin grafts comprising both an epidermal and dermal component, and looks at the clinical development of denovoSkin™.
